RESEARCH & BRAINSTORMING

Word association is the best way to begin solving a visual problem for my illustration projects. I experiment with all different types of media: graphite, paper collage, color pencils, acrylics, oils, pen and ink, crayons, Copic markers, pastels, Illustrator, and Photoshop... just to name a few.

Traditional & Digital Illustrations

I attended the Savannah College of Art & Design in Georgia on a full fine arts scholarship with a major in illustration and design. I have widely exhibited my artworks in galleries and art shows in the midwest and southeast over the last 20 years. My artwork has also been infused in every advertising and interactive project over the last 20 years of my career in one way or another. I create artworks in a wide variety of media; pencil, oil, acrylic, assemblage, and digital collage. My latest series of illustrations depict figures in hues that seem once vivid, and are now faded. I want to transport my viewers into a dream-like world where the mythical characters tell ancient tales of enchantment. Perspective and composition evoke Medieval and Renaissance icons.
