My latest web design project has launched. Check out the Wayback Machine for a screen capture of the archived site. Then, compare to the relaunched Kids Kreations website. While it doesn’t offer the complete user experience by allowing purchases online, it helps people understand the custom process and allows them to explore the offerings before making a trip to the brick and mortar store.
My newest resin cube bracelet features Richie Rich comic covers, the poor little rich boy with his infinite wealth, incredible gizmos, exotic locales, and impossible escapes.

I don’t know about all of you, but I’ve come across several blogs or online galleries that have taken my work without permission. Somehow, my work even got used on the “About.com” Clip Art page. “About.com” is supposed to have guides who are recognized experts in their field and can provide trusted information after thorough research. Last time I checked, illustrated blogs were not a clip art image resource. Since it has happened a lot in the last month, I realize I am going to have to add a watermark to all my images from here on out. What do you guys think? Have you ever found your work on other blogs or websites that didn’t ask permission or didn’t give you credit?
There just aren’t enough hours in a day. I haven’t had a moment to do any new illustrations for the last 2 weeks. So, this week seemed like a great excuse to post a primitive drawing by Liam. He drew the old lady who swallowed the fly, spider, etc. And here’s another primitive scribble from my archives. This one is circa 1972. As they kept score in a notebook, I drew my Grandma and Grandpa playing cards. Personally, I think Liam is a better artist at age 4 than I was.
Laurel at Studio Lolo tagged me to come up with a six word memoir. If you asked me to write a memoir every day for the rest of my life, it would probably be totally different each time.

In memoriam of Douglas Scott Fenton Coles, I was honored to create this tattoo for my brother-in-law. It incorporates their Scottish surname family shield, celtic cross, and the Braveheart Claymore sword. From the movie ‘Gladiator’… “Now you are free, and I will see you again. But, not yet… not yet.”
Prickie, the online shop for unique button badges, will cease selling on June 15, 2007 unless they find a buyer for the brand. I had just set up my Prickie shop in March, so I only have a few weeks left to get my artwork in before they close it down. In the meantime, I added some of my Moleskine sketches from April. I thought they were the best candidates for making cute buttons. Of course, I added Sully too. I also added a couple pixel illustrations to see how a .gif file turns out on a button.
